Personal info:

Z.M. Delgado was born in Garfield Heights, Ohio, in 1980. Moving east in 1985, he was raised in the small town of Madison, Ohio. He was an avid reader and from an early age he dreamt of being an author; trying his hand at poetry and lyricism as early as junior high. In 1994 his life changed forever when he attended his first Metal show, Metallica w/ Danzig and Suicidal Tendencies. He felt something very special that day: A kinship and safety within the crowd… and he never wanted to go home. Both writing and concerts continued throughout high school where he also developed a love of fine arts. He graduated from Madison High School in 1998. After several attempts at higher education, he enlisted in the USAF. Following his military service he returned to Ohio to pursue musical ventures. During this time he helped to found the short lived underground record label “Madtown Records.” Enrolling in Cuyahoga Community College to study Audio Recording, he met Veronica Freeman. They were married in 2013. With Veronica’s constant support, he made the decision to set aside music and began pursuing his dream of becoming a novelist; authoring “The Documents of Stōn” series. In 2021 he launched Zackolantern.com as a platform to promote his writing. He released three short horror stories that October in celebration of Halloween. In 2022 he decided to combine his love of music with his pursuit of the written word: Founding the “Rustbelt Rock Review.” By spending countless hours in the Metal Scene and documenting his experiences, he has given a voice to the Underground. He currently lives and works in northeast Ohio with his wife and two children. In addition to the Rustbelt Rock Review, he is the Author of three novels, a children’s book and a number of short stories.
